About This Piece
This figure sits in front of you, relaxed and at ease. She holds a cup of coffee, and you have your own, sitting there in the foreground. Can you spot it? You two are old friends, and enjoying an easy conversation together. It's just one reason why the weekends feel so fresh. Something to look forward to. something to enjoy.
I created this original painting inspired by spending Sunday mornings and afternoons in coffee shops every weekend. I would bring a book, and enjoy the moment. This painting was created from a photograph my partner took of me while we had coffee together. After it became its own painting, I see her now as her own character with her own story. Just like you.
