               When I was going through a rough patch, the only thing that kept me going was being able to go to a coffee shop on Saturday morning. Those cozy moments reminded me of the things I love in life.

I stopped painting for two years after graduating art school. Once I started working a corporate 9-5, I slowly forgot myself. Where was the joy in the world? Back then, I couldn't tell.

Through those coffee shop visits, I was able to rediscover my joy. Today, I paint coffee and teacups as a reminder of that joy doesn't have to be big. 

It can be found right there in front of you. It's in the small things.
